On Wednesdaywe did some more of the Cancan dance but we filmed it and it will go up in the entrance one day !!! And near the end of school we used kid pix to create art from the famous french artist called Claud Monet called water lilly pond it sounded a bit easy but it turned out terribly hard work.

On Monday we learnt a french dance called the Cancan in was fun but it was very very hard because you had to put your leg up in the air then you tapped your foot on the floor then you kicked your leg high up in the air. The dance instructor was from Clifton’s dance academy

In topic we had to do a story about anything and we had to wright it in our topic book.

what we did in 4jo on friday.
In 4jo this week we have been creating our own crepes. With the ingredients of jam, lemon cur , chocolate chip buttons, honey, chocolate spread, icecream, grapes, blue berries, pears, apples and golden syrup.
First we had to spread our ingrediets like jam or honey.
Next we had to put the toppings on like choclate chips grapes and blue berries.
After we had to roll up the crepes and dig in!

Its been two weeks and two days and wev’e already settled in. In maths we played a game called back to back and two of us had to face back to back and stick our hands out. In core skills we had to order sentences of two stories we read.

What we have been doing in Year 4- Wk beginning 24.11.08
Well its been a very busy week and all the children in year 4 are starting to think about getting excited for christmas.
Ms Jones is working on the Christmas play and many of us are learning the songs and lines. We can promise you that it is going to be very funny and well worth a watch.
We are working on designing Christmas cards and as Mrs Knight is something of an expert in this, we have some really great designs. If we sold them, we could make a fortune!!
Ms Jones has been teaching us a song about a fantasy football team of crazy animals. Its so funny, you can find it online at www.singup.org . Why dont you log onto the web site and sing it at home?
We are desperately trying to improve our reading and we are still hoping some more year 4 Mums and Dads might want to come and listen to readers.
Our class mate Connor was featured in the Grimsby Evening Telegraph. The Grimsby Rugby Union FC is now through to the play offs and they won against Sleaford, Scunthorpe and Market Rasin. Well done Connor!!

Week Beginning 17th Novemeber-What we have been doing.
In our Science lesson we have been planning an experiment about how we can keep ice pops cold. We have looked at a range of materials. These are:
Bubble Wrap
Waterproof fabric
Tin Foil
Tissue paper
Newspaper
The predictions we have made are that most people think tinfoil will help keep the ice pop cold.
In Maths the Advanced group have been looking at data handling and the improvers have been weighing ingrediants and baking. The food we made was chocolate muffins and chocolate rice krispies cakes.
In Literacy we have finished our book called ‘The Blitz’ and some children went inside a home made Anderson shelter. Others, worked hard on writing sentences and paragraphs to match the war time photos.
We also watched a DVD about the Battle of Britain, it had someones Grandad on it from Year 4. It was really good.
We have been working hard on the Christmas Play and it was auditions this week. We cant tell you anymore yet!!!!!
In Art we have been looking at War time pictures and drawing in pen and in DT was are designing Christmas cards.
