Week Ending 3rd July 2009

Posted on September 15th, 2009 in 4 JO Events by class4jo

Hello,

This week has been a busy week for us, many of us have been to the Junior Singing Festival at the Auditorium on both Monday and Tuesday. Both days were fantastic and even the teachers had a great time. We sang a range of songs from different aspects of the world. We also sang about outer space too!

Luckily the weather was fantastic and because of this we managed to picnic for both lunchtimes. So that was a real bonus. Th evening performance was great and nearly all the parents came to see us. Mrs Snell and Mrs Doo had a great time dancing and singing!

On Thursday we went to meet our new teacher everybody in Year 4 will have either Mrs Stephenson or Mr Burgess next year. Ms Jones will be teaching Year 4 again and Mrs Knight will have a new Year 3 class.

Next week we will have our last trumpet lesson for the year and we still have 2 swimming sessions left before we break up.

Thats all for this week.

Dont forget to leave us a message!!

Christmas Play countdown……

Posted on December 16th, 2008 in 4 JO Events by class4jo

Its only 6 more school days left! We are all very excited and we have been so busy that the week has flown by.

The children who are in the Christmas play have been rehersing every lunch time and also we have had some afternoon rehersals too. The main characters were very worried that other pupils might have seen them in their costumes- you will see why next week! Everytime we even think about it we are laughing!!!!

We have also been rehersing for the Christmas Carol concert and we want to remind everyone that parents and carers are welcome. Please come early to avoid disappointment! Mrs Jones has a band of percussionists and we are accompanying the singing. Mrs Jones has only just realised that she has two boys in Y4 who are potentials for the X Factor. Kyron and Ethan really need to form a band and get rehersing! We should hold a William Barcroft’s Got Talent event! We are going to try and convince Mrs Jones to do one.

We all want to say thankyou to Mr Steer, because he keeps setting all the computer, sound and light equipment up for us. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Christmas parties are next week so dont forget! Ours is ont Tuesday afternoon! Yippee.

We cant believe it’s nearly Christmas………..

Welcome again to 4JO’s blog. This week has been really difficult! We have had tests in Maths, English and Science. These tests will help our teacher to see what we are really good at doing and what we need extra help with.

To try and make it feel more christmas like, we have had a few singing rehersals for a Christmas carol concert we will be doing-(more information on this very soon!!) Ms Jones got children playing percussion to the Christmas songs and it was really jolly.  We tried to get Ms Jones to sing a solo at the concert but we think she was shy.

The rehersals for the Christmas play are continuing EVERY LUNCH TIME and on Mondays and Tuesdays after school. We think we might add some more after school rehersals because we want it to be just right. Ms Jones thinks that by Christmas she wont feel guilty about eating Christmas lunch because she has barely had time to eat during December.

The weather has started to get colder and we even saw snow this week. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to build a snowman before Christmas, we all have our legs, fingers and arms crossed! Our Science topic is keeping warm and because of that Ms Jones thinks that we can design a Science experiment were we test what types of materials keep us the most warm.

Its the Christmas fair next week and we would like to say thanks for all the wine and chocolates that have been donated! If people have any more donations can we recieve them by the end of the week so we can get organised!

Ms Jones has a list of Dads who are interested in the Dads and Lads club and she will be contacting them very soon.  Also we have started to bring in Mums and Dads for listening to readers, if you applied ill be contacting more parents soon.

Well thats all for this week!

Please leave us a comment!
