Week Ending 13th February 2009
This week has absolutly whizzed by and evrybody has been working really hard. We have all been catching up on any unfinished bits and pieces.
In Maths we have been looking at co-ordinates, we all found it so difficult on Monday, but by Friday we were able to plot a selection of co-ordinates to create the most amazing pictures! Now we want to do it again after half term.
In Literacy we have finished our Explanation texts and we are all able to explain how Rock Candy is actually made. Next term we are looking at stories from another culture. My literacy group will be looking at ‘Handas Surprise’ which is a wonderful African story.
In Art we have been looking at working with watercolours, we tried mixing the colours and making sure that they dont get too watery. Afterwards we painted some very detailed pictures. You could have heard a pin drop in class.
In Music we have learnt another note on the trumpets. We are actually starting to sound quite good, rather than an awful noise. Our trumpet teacher, Anna, is really great.
In our PHSCE we have been developing relationships and asking each other how we would like to be treated. We talked about arguements and how we can resolve them.
We hope everyone has a great holiday and we will see you all after half term.
